Kitchener, OntarioClaire has a Bachelor of Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo and is a Registered Professional Planner (RPP). She is a Senior Project Manager in CIMA+’s Transportation Department with over 13 years of experience focusing on consultation, engagement and facilitation for a range of planning and infrastructure projects throughout Ontario and Canada. She is fully trained in the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) foundations of public participation and can coordinate and manage large-scale consultation programs in and efficient and effective manner. She is also a trained facilitator and has completed training in GBA+, DEI Sensitivity Training and Indigenous Community outreach. Within the Ontario landscape, Claire has actively participated in the education of fellow planners in the area of engagement and consultation through presentations and mentorship. Claire has developed and designed comprehensive engagement programs and provided facilitation support for over 100 consultation programs with a passion for developing public and stakeholder participation programs which integrate the defined process of IAP2 with the unique and context specific issues that need to be addressed by her clients. Her programs utilize a range of tools and tactics for decision making and consultation / engagement including but not limited to stakeholder workshops, visioning sessions, public information centres and open houses, conversation cafes, focus groups, fishbowl exercise, graphic facilitation, etc. Claire is also very well versed and able to utilize several virtual and online interactive engagement tools for both public facing engagement as well as facilitated stakeholder sessions.
