IAP2 Canada 2025–2027 Strategic Plan

Our Strategic Plan sets the course for the next three years, building on member feedback, sector trends, and our mission to advance meaningful public participation in Canada.

Message from the Board

Dear Members,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your continued engagement with IAP2 Canada. Your dedication, insights, and participation are the foundation of our work and the driving force behind our progress.

The 2025–2027 Strategic Plan reflects the voices of our members and the evolving landscape of public participation in Canada. Over the past year, we gathered feedback from across the country, hearing about your priorities, challenges, and aspirations. This input shaped a plan that is both ambitious and practical, rooted in our mission and values.

Our new strategy focuses on four key priorities:

  • Sector Leadership – Strengthening IAP2 Canada’s role as a recognized and respected leader in public participation.

  • Impactful Services – Delivering inclusive, high-quality programs and resources that meet practitioner and community needs.

  • Operational Health – Building strong systems, culture, and infrastructure to support a healthy and adaptable organization.

  • Strong Governance – Ensuring clear, consistent, and effective governance that supports stability and long-term success.

This plan is more than a roadmap—it is a commitment to our members, our profession, and the communities we serve. Over the next three years, we will work together to bring these priorities to life, measure our progress, and adapt to new challenges and opportunities as they arise.

We invite you to explore the plan, share your thoughts, and get involved in shaping its success. With your engagement, we can continue to advance meaningful public participation across Canada.

With appreciation,
The IAP2 Canada Board of Directors
