Increasingly consultants and employees are expected to lead in the space of reconciliation and Indigenous engagement. Are you in a leadership or advising position and looking to increase your comfort level and competency to do this important work?

IAP2 Canada has developed a semi-structured, cohort-based learning program that takes a deep dive into navigating complex conversations related to Indigenous understanding. Co-created with an Indigenous Elder, the Indigenous Awareness Learning Program uses a participatory learning model to help build awareness and understanding about the history and experiences of Indigenous Peoples in our country to better support inclusion in our P2 and engagement practice.

During the six month program you will participate in group-based learning, self-paced individual learning and reflection, and small group work in collaboration with an experienced learning partner. Participants will work through four assignments over the course of the program, based on the teachings of the traditional Medicine Wheel.

This program grew out of the work of Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and a recognition of the role IAP2 Canada has in furthering the Commission’s Calls to Action. Originally exclusively offered to IAP2 members, this successful program is now being offered to both members and non-members.

Join Anne Harding for a special information session about the 6-month Indigenous Awareness Learning Program, starting in June.
