Virtual Training Cancellation and Refund Policy

Consulter la politique de remboursement et d'annulation en français.

Cancellations

All cancellations and requests for refunds for Virtual Training must be made in writing as indicated below. Requests must be sent to IAP2 Canada at info@iap2canada.ca. Telephone requests will not be honoured.

Virtual courses require a minimum number of participants to proceed so that we can ensure that the best possible learning experience is provided. IAP2 Canada reserves the right to cancel a course if the minimum number of participants isn’t reached prior to the course start date. Registered participants will have the option to receive a full refund, transfer their registration to another course, or create a credit for IAP2 Canada activities and services in exceptional circumstances.

If a credit is approved by IAP2 Canada, it must be applied towards another course within 1 year of the original course date. Credit will be refunded after 365 days if not used.

To guarantee your spot in a course, full payment is required 10 days before the course starts. If you require an exception please contact us at info@iap2canada.ca.

In-house trainings

Due to higher administrative costs associated with booking in-house training, cancellation requests must be made six weeks in advance of the first training date. If cancelled between two and six weeks from the start date, you are eligible for a 50% refund of your training cost. Within two weeks of the course start date, requests for refunds will not be considered or issued.

Refunds

Requests for full refunds require written notice sent to IAP2 Canada at info@iap2canada.ca and must be submitted a minimum of two weeks prior to the course start date. Participants who cancel within this time period will receive a full refund, minus an administrative fee of $50.00 (plus GST/HST). If payment has not yet been received before the cancellation notice, this $50.00 administrative fee still applies.

If the course was cancelled by IAP2 Canada, the administrative fee does not apply.

No Refunds

There will be no refunds for cancellation requests received within the two week period prior to the course start date. Transfers to future sessions or courses will also not be permitted within this time period.

Applications for extenuating circumstances to waive the cancellation fee or contest the no refund policy may be made in writing to info@iap2canada.ca, and IAP2 Canada reserves the right to request supporting documentation.

There will be no refunds for missed (full or partial) courses. Session recordings are not available for training unless explicitly stated otherwise by IAP2 Canada. Multiple session courses usually build up knowledge from one session to the next. If a participant misses a full session they may not be able to attend subsequent sessions of the course.

Participants are responsible for making sure that they are receiving course emails and are aware of the course time zone. A minimum of two emails will be sent out prior to the start of the course, including Zoom links and time zone information. If a participant doesn’t receive emails they must contact info@iap2canada.ca a minimum of one business day prior to the start of the course.

Training participants are responsible for ensuring that they have access to Zoom and Google Drive, and are able to access course materials.

If your employer is exempt from paying GST/HST, please send an email to info@iap2canada.ca

stating your name, organization, and providing a GST/HST exemption letter prior to paying, so that applicable GST/HST can be removed. Refunds will not be provided after an invoice has been paid.

Transfers

Requests to transfer to a future course must be submitted at least two weeks before the course start date. Transfers requested within the two-week period before the start date are not permitted. Each participant may transfer their registration only once.

Course Satisfaction

IAP2 Canada strives to provide training of the highest quality and works with qualified trainers. We use the following methods to assure quality assurance:

  • A rigorous selection process is used to select both trainers and courses.
  • Each course provides a brief description and learning objectives. Please note that shorter courses will likely provide a higher level look at subject areas, while longer courses will be more in depth. This should be considered when registering for a course.
  • Each course has an identified level, which should be considered when registering for a course:
    • Level 1 - An introduction to the topic for those who have little to no previous experience with it.
    • Level 2 - For those who are familiar with the topic and want to learn more.
    • Level 3 - A deep dive into the topic for those who already have experience in that area.

  • An evaluation is administered for each course, and results are reviewed by IAP2 Canada and provided to trainers. Results are continuously monitored to ensure that feedback is being considered and incorporated as appropriate.
Refunds will only be considered if the participant is able to demonstrate that the course objectives were not met. The course’s evaluations will be reviewed as part of the consideration for the refund request.
