Michelle has over 20 years’ experience in public administration with a focus on the P2 field. For a decade she served as the Director of Public Engagement for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador designing and leading hundreds of engagements on matters of key public policy. Under her direction, the team developed into a vital part of public sector planning in the province and now designs and delivers some 40 engagement projects each year, from small focus groups to multi-site deliberative dialogues. This has brought her a solid understanding of P2
fundamentals from both the theoretical and practical side. One of her personal interests is in the area of Indigenous Engagement. Michelle is currently the Executive Director of the University Governance Secretariat at Memorial University of Newfoundland where she continues to champion the value of P2 principles as a key component of effective governance.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts, Certificates in Public Administration and Newfoundland Studies from Memorial University and a Masters Certificate in Project Management from York University and is an alumna of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference (GGCLC) of 2015.
