Applying Methods is a Level 2 course that focuses on exploring a variety of methods used in implementing public participation and engagement and considers how to design and integrate those methods into the public participation and engagement practice process. Participants will learn to select, assess and create effective elements of methods to work meaningfully with participants.

Andrea Winkler is an accomplished public engagement professional with 15 years of experience working with government, private, and not-for-profit sectors across Canada. She has great appreciation for organizations that involve the public in decisions that will impact them and finds it incredibly meaningful to support their work.
She has worked with communities and stakeholder groups on a broad range of projects, including designing a new wastewater treatment plant, developing liquid waste regulations, and pedestrianizing a busy street in downtown Vancouver.
She has built the capacity of local governments to conduct meaningful public engagement through training, establishing corporate policies, creating engagement process guides, and coaching engagement teams.
