IAP2 Canada is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships for those in need of financial assistance to attend our 2024 IAP2 North American Conference in Ottawa (October 24-26 ). Each scholarship covers a full conference registration fee. The scholarship does not cover accommodation or travel expenses. We actively encourage applications from members of groups with historical and/or current barriers to equity to apply.

The selection committee will award scholarships based on application responses that demonstrate:

• Financial assistance needed to help them pursue their career in public participation.
• Experience and interest in public participation that is strongly aligned with IAP2’s vision and goals.

A key goal of IAP2 Canada is to understand and embrace equity, diversity and inclusion principles across IAP2 Canada. We seek a broad range of perspectives and contributions to our field of public participation—and the communities where we live and engage. The selection committee is instructed to keep a DEI lens throughout the selection process and consider non-traditional career paths.

DEADLINE to APPLY: JUNE 13, 2024

Successful recipients will be notified by June 19, 2024. Scholarship recipients will be asked to provide a modest amount of volunteer time to the conference, such as helping with social media or session support.
