Join the City of Kelowna’s communications team in delivering a full range of initiatives to support the City’s focus on customer service, community and business engagement. We are looking for an experienced strategic communications professional to join our team. You will provide strategic advice about project audiences and communication needs. Specific tasks might include writing, editing and content creation, they could additionally include public engagement and notification, customer service, marketing campaigns, media relations and event coordination. Qualifications The successful candidate will have post-secondary education in communications/public relations or journalism, along with experience in corporate communications. Confident, clear writing skills and a sound understanding of strategic communications are essential. Skills should include problem solving, project management, political sensitivity and managing change. An ability to build relationships is key as are sound judgment and critical thinking skills. The flexibility to balance priorities and multiple projects is also essential. Help create Kelowna as a City of the Future.
