Hilary is a Principal & Co-founder of Spur Communication. She brings over a decade of experience specializing in public sector communication and engagement. She has partnered with governments and organizations across Canada to develop transparent, inclusive strategies that prioritize community voices. With a Master of Arts in Political Communication from Simon Fraser University, Hilary has contributed to diverse political campaigns, including a non-partisan initiative to increase youth participation in advance polling. She has won an IAP2 award for Extending the Practice through Creativity, Contribution & Innovation in the Field.

In her role at Spur, Hilary sets the agency’s strategic direction, ensuring that projects maintain the highest standards in engagement and communication. Her work emphasizes supporting public sector clients with strategic communication, de-escalation training, and interest holder engagement. Passionate about accessible civic engagement, Hilary believes that diverse perspectives are essential to building communities that reflect and serve everyone’s needs.
