Ask yourself these three questions:

  • Are you expecting a loud, controversial event or engagement?

  • Does your organization use the same tools over and over again with limited effectiveness?

  • Do you value strong relationships and building community participation capacity but not sure where and how to get started?

Ignoring the controversy, aiming to control the discussion, or hoping that enough facts will cool the fire ISN’T going to work. Ready for something different? Willing to immerse yourself in the emotion and complexity, and make space for the tough conversations? While there is no magic technique, these tools are sure to set you up with a better opportunity to support new innovative discussion to emerge. Join us as we explore 1) Gamified Techniques, 2) A Human Library, 3) Socratic Circle© 4) Deliberative Forum.

It’s time to stretch BEYOND the open house and find techniques and tools that will help you host better, bolder conversations.
