She is an award-winning professional communicator with a decade of experience in municipal government leading both public relations and public engagement initiatives at The City of Red Deer. She strives to reduce barriers to increase access to local government, resulting in better decisions and better results.

Amara is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) from the Canadian Public Relations Society and is proud to hold the CP3 designation from IAP2.
