Help us support public engagement activities for City projects by joining our Communications team as a Communications Coordinator. We deliver a full range of communications initiatives to support high-quality and meaningful community engagement and are looking for someone who shares these values.
Use your strong writing, research and interpersonal skills to develop and implement communication, marketing, and awareness campaigns. As a creative communicator, you will write and design communications content for various audiences and channels. Expertise with a variety of computer applications with an emphasis on web content management, social media platforms and design software is essential. Flexibility to balance priorities and multiple projects is critical.

You will work with others who have specialist strengths as well as varied past experiences delivering communications services.
QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma in communications, along with experience in corporate communications. Confident, clear writing skills and a sound understanding of strategic communications are essential.

This is a CUPE bargaining unit position with an hourly rate starting at $34.48 per hour plus employer-paid comprehensive benefits, an earned day off program, paid vacation and one of Canada’s top pension plans. We also have a 6-month term appointment available (which may be extended). This position has the same hourly rate of pay plus 14% in lieu of benefits, vacation and statutory holiday.
