(Professional Development) IAP2 Taster: The Vital Role of Communications in Effective Engagement

You have the training, tools and techniques to deliver an effective public engagement process, but is your communications strategy in order? Skilled communication is an important, and sometimes less-understood, factor in improving your engagement outcomes.

In this Taster version of her new virtual course (two sessions, 6 hours, March 15 and 17), Gay Robinson, CP3, will discuss the connections between engagement and communication. You'll learn about conducting a situation assessment through a communication lens, how communications can affect diversity and inclusion, and the use of plain language, among other things.

Tasters are 45-minute versions of longer courses, giving you an opportunity to "test drive" the course and the trainer, and decide to take the full course. You have an opportunity to provide feedback to the trainer, and receive two or three take-aways that you can use in your own work.
