Gender Based Analysis Plus (GBA+) is an analytical tool that integrates a gender perspective into the development and implementation of policies, programs and legislation, as well as planning and decision-making processes. GBA+ is used to assess the potential effects of policies, programs or initiatives on groups of women and men, girls and boys, while taking into account gender and other identity factors. By incorporating GBA+ in our work, we are better able to establish a foundation for greater success in achieving goals and outcomes as we take into account the real needs of women and men, boys and girls in all their diversity.
Please join us on June 14 for a guest speaker from the Government of Alberta's department for the Status of Women, Gender Equality and Advancement branch, who will lead a discussion on how we can use gender-based analysis in our public participation work.
The presentation starts at 12:10pm.
